After so many of my friends recommended it, I finally started reading “How To Worship A King” by Zach Neese, and I’m REGULARLY mind-blown. As I was reading even just the first chapter, I KNEW this was something I had to share with all my worship ministry friends! So, with that being said, I’m starting a Book Club! This is a just another opportunity for us to gather and grow together. We’ll meet via Zoom to read, discuss, and be challenged by the incredibly valuable insight in this book. Truthfully, I started reading this for me and my own growth, but man oh man, I’ve gotta have you along for the ride!
If you’re in, tap a link below to order your book. Be sure to get it quick! We start the week of April 17th!
Oh! And be sure to text me to (626) 469-4816, and let me know you’ve gotten your book! I’ll keep you updated with all the links, dates, etc. See ya soon!
SOME OF MY FAVORITE QUOTES SO FAR…
Religion teaches us that our function determines our worth and our identity (I am because I do). Worship teaches us that our identity determines our worth and our function (I do because I am). And God determines our identity.
…a person who identifies himself as a guitarist will pursue endeavors that lead to success and promotion as a guitarist. Tell that person that he does not have the skill to play on the platform worship team, and he will feel more than mere rejection. He will have an identity crisis.”
The religious heart says, “I must do my duty in order to be of value
to God.” Worship is the opposite of religion. The heart of worship says, “Jesus proved I am of value to God. I serve Him because He is also of value to me.”
