Growing up I’d see these great worship leaders I admired and always thought ONE DAY, I’ll be able to lead with that kind of liberty/freedom/lack of hesitation.
I’d even ask them HOW they did it and when they thought I’d have the confidence to lead like that. You know what I heard 90% of the time? “Keep going mijo. With time and experience, you’ll get it!” 🙄
But here’s the thing, most of us don’t have the time to live through years of “experience”. We’re on schedule to lead worship THIS SUNDAY, and the worship service after that, and maybe even the one after that. 😅
At least, that was MY experience. Leading worship almost everyweek, and losing my voice in the process. I couldn’t even get through one set without dealing with some kind of pain, strain, tension, or loss of voice. Until one day, with the help of a coach and a community, I got what I needed.
But here’s what was missing in that OTHER program… JESUS.
Very few of those other singers were doing it for the same reason I was, to help lead my body of believers into an encounter with a real & living God.
That’s what inspired me to create this community; so that we can learn the systematic ways to lead worship with liberty and authority without fear of what we can or cannot do AND grow in relationship with Jesus and other believers.
